Jiri Kosina proposed discussing the various proposals and conflicting requirements for cgroups. Jiri proposes a face-to-face discussion in order to gain a better understanding of everyone's position and some sort of resolution.

Michal Hocko is also interested in the cgroups discussion. Although he agrees that the idea of a unified cgroup hierarchy sounds good in general, he doesn't like the idea of hiding cgroupfs as it would break users. He is also a bit worried by what he sees as an “It's all ours” claim by the systemd folks.

Michel Lespinasse noted that while his employer, Google, is OK with changes to the cgroups interfaces, it is not OK with removing cgroups functionality that Google already uses.
